The Jacksons' musical career started as Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael formed the Jackson 5 in the mid 1960s. The singles "Billie Jean," "Thriller" and "Beat It," which are taken from the album, have also been noted in MTV's most significant videos in history.

For his achievement in music, Michael has won numerous awards, including ones for his successful album "Thriller" that earned him 8 awards in the 1984 Grammy Awards. Despite his singles "Bad," Smooth Criminal" and "Leave Me Alone," the pop singer who is famous for his moonwalk dance move, also launched a collection of short films about himself entitled "Michael Jackson: Moonwalker" and an autobiography "Moon Walk" to add the success of the album.

Thanks to his many success albums that Michael was able to enjoy and spend his wealth over his personal dreams. Due to his "lost childhood" and part of him that not wanting to grow up, Michael was planning to build a place where children all over the world can fulfill their dreams of having a complete playground. He built and designed his home "Neverland," tribute to Peter Pan and his magic place Never-Never Land, in a 2,600 acres land in Santa Ynez, California. It contains a small zoo and amusement park where he often invites children, especially sick and poor, to visit and have some fun. Michael loves children very much; sadly, the fact later hit him back as he has been accused of alleged child molestation. He was accused after being reported to letting the children to sleepover and occasionally shares his bed with several of them. "Why can't you share your bed? The most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone. It's very charming. It's very sweet. It's what the whole world should do," says Michael in an attempt to deny the charges.

The alleged accusations shocked worldwide
fanatics because Michael has been long known for his caring for children. ~ The Magic of the Bad Era ~ - michael-jackson Photo knot with Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley. The short-lived marriage only lasted 18 months after Lisa felt that Michael only used her to avoid the alleged charges. Shortly after the divorce, in 1996, Michael married to Debbie Rowe and divorced in 1999 after having a son, Prince Michael and a daughter, Paris Katherine. Furthermore, in 2002, Michael had another son, Prince Michael II, this time with a surrogate mother whose identity has been hidden. The poor baby has caught the attention as Michael once carried him over the edge of the railing of the Adlon hotel in Berlin.

Apparently, Michael realized that his songs are the only things he had to bring his good self-image back in spite of the controversies. Thus, he released a double-disc album "HIStory" (1995), in which each disc contains 15 of his greatest hits and 15 new songs, such as "Childhood," "You Are Not Alone," "Earth Song" and "They Don't Care About Us." Another single taken from the same album, namely "Scream," is sang along with sister Janet and noted to be the most expensive music video ever made with an estimate price 7 million dollar. Unfortunately, the album was branded a
failure, as its hits did not stay on top of the charts throughout the summer. Since "HIStory," Michael continued to count on his greatest hits collection to stay exists as his biggest-selling remix album of all time, "Blood on the Dance Floor" (1997), was offered for sale. In sequence, he produced a 40-minute short film entitled "Ghosts," which features singles "Ghosts" and "2 Bad" taken from the remix album.

The decreasing graphic in selling eventually affecting his next album "Invicible" which was launched in 2001. Despite the fact that it was the most expensive album ever produced, the low budget has forced "Invicible" to produce only the singles "Rock My World" and "Butterfly" in America. Worse, in October 2002 various international banks claimed Michael was in financial trouble, proven by his millions of dollars in debt. Since then, many bad things happened to him, like his legal dispute with his former financial adviser, Union Finance and Investment Corp. of South Korea; his being reported to close to bankruptcy; and the child sexual abuse accusation he faced in early 2003. 2005 was really a hard year for the King of Pop, who once again, bumped against another child molestation allegation that sent him back and forth the court for nearly four months before the long and tiring court battle finally came to an end on June 13, 2005, with Michael been acquitted for such other charges, as plying a minor with alcohol and conspiring to kidnap his victim and his family to get them to refute the damaging television documentary "Living With Michael Jackson." That day may be Michael's big and historical day, as from that point on he would live a brand new life and start a new beginning in his musical career. The latter began taking shape when he announced the work of a comeback album in may 2006.
