OLAMIDE

On the 15 th of March 1989 a Star was born to the Adedeji family. He was named Olamidewhich literarily means “Wealth has come”. No doubtthat name was given to the 22 year old more in hope than certainty, well ladies and gentlemen the prophecy has come to pass. A year and some into his professional music career, Olamide has become a house hold name and just in case you don’t know who he is I suggest you google ENI DURO.  ENI DURO; the breakout single from his Debut Album has become an anthem for the streets, clubs, lecture halls and conference room.
Armed with only his pen and paper, the 300 level mass communication part time student of Tai Solarin University has released whatis without a doubt an outstanding debut album. Titled RapSoDi Olamide’s 1 st offering is a 16 tracker. Sometime in 2000, Olamide decided he would like to pursue a career in music. When asked why music the Fast rising Rap Artiste says “I found out I was gifted in it so I had to explore it, it’s mylife, my hustle, my world”. In 2010 fresh faced Olamide performed on arguably the biggest stage in the NigerianMusic scene; “The Hip Hop World Awards”.
Olamide’s road to fame is one for the history books, this time one year ago he was  a regular kid growing up in the Heart of Lagos Mainland; Bariga. Even though Olamide insists he is still that Bariga boy a lot haschanged in his life. Today he is Olamide a Recording Artiste signed onto ID CABASA’s CODED TUNEZ Record label and managed byIndustry heavy weight Toni Payne. Make no mistake his celebrity status was not handed to him on a silver platter, an immense amount of hard work and pure unbridled talent is responsible for the man we see today.
The un-assuming Olamide has performed at almost every major event in Lagos this year and continues to headline shows left right andcenter. What is it about Olamide that has made him a fans’ favourite? Olamide raps in a unique blend of Yoruba and English with lyrics that will leave the listener both speechless andintrigued. Olamide’s dexterityis one of the many things that endear him to his fans. One minute he is delivering his rap in fluent English and the next he switches effortlessly into Yoruba. Ambitious Olamide will tell youhe is still on his way there and if given a chance would fancy collaborations with International Superstars; Jay-Z, Ludacris, Drake,

Olamide is a Nigerian rapper. He is known for his versatilerap style, free spirited delivery and creative lyrical ability.
Born Olamide Adedeji on the 15 of March, in Bariga Lagos.Olamide fell in love with Rap music early in his primary school days.Soon, hediscovered he also had the talent to Rap and began to nurture the talent from the year 2000.He got his break after the release of the monster hit single Eni Duro in2010 and ever since, it’s been a success story all the way.
In this interview, he talks about his life, new album andworking relationship with Toni Payne.
Tell us about the reviews onyour new album Rapsodi ?
Everything has been on check, good responses; the album has been doing well onthe streets and everywhere. The first video off the album Eni Duro is great and the video for Omo To Shan with Whiz kid is almost done and then after, the plan is to shoot a couple of more videos from the album.
Why do people compare you to Dagrin?
I think it might be because I can flow well in Yoruba, if you remember when Dagrin started some people were like have you heard Dagrin he raps like Ajasa.I think withtime as people get to listen to my album they’ll understand this is Olamide and his own style. No one can be like Dagrin he was theGreatest Artistes to come outof Nigeria. I am just trying to do my own thing my own way and with the message I try topass across with my music people will start seeing me as my real self.
Tell us about your experience on the set of your video Eni Duro?
I would really love to win an award for the video cuz it took us four days to get the video done. I was really stressed out that I had to goget clothes from here and there.
Dj Tee is a very professional director; he ensures that will make use ofthe best costumes. I had to get about 40 different costumes; we eventually make use of 27 of them. It was so hectic but we thank God that the outcome was great.
How do you manage the attention you get from fans?
So far it has been fun, cool and at the same time taking me away from the everyday life I love living; like staying out on the streets, hanging out with my friends, going to eat in Bukas.Right now, I can’t go to Bukas to eat cos even when I try it my friendswill caution me.
Olamide who is presently studying Mass Communicationat the Tai Solarin College of Education also reveals that him working with Toni Payne has been really great, cos my dreams are coming true.
Any future collaboration?
Right now, there is only one person on my mind; and that is 2face Idibia; am dying to work with him.

Davido (born David Adeleke) is a performing and recording artiste and also a music producer. Davido was born in Atlanta GA, USA on November 21st to Mr. And Mrs. Adeleke and attended The British International School, Lagos. Travelling between the USA, the UK and Nigeria, Davido has experienced different cultures but still stays true to his roots and this is evident in his music and the people he considers his biggest influences musically, which include Don Jazzy, 2 Face idibia, Sound Sultan and Wande Coal. Though Davido started music professionally a year ago, he has been performing and making music since the age of 11. Now 18, he has set up a record label called HKN Music, jointly owned by Davido and Ade, his older brother. The saying “If you want something done, do it yourself” is what led the brothers start the label as Davido believes that as a producer and recording artiste, he would be in the best position to create music that suits his style. When asked to choose an ideal producer to work with, he responded “...myself, because I know what I want exactly!” He is however quick to mention that he would definitely be excited to work with Sarz, Jaysleek and/or Don Jazzy.
In a short space of time, Davido has developed a huge fan base (14 to 28 year olds) in Nigeria, the US and the UK and the young fresh talent’s first  single “Back When” featuring Naeto C, is enjoying massive media attention and airplay online, on radio and TV. In his own words, his greatest reward so far is “having my family and friends support my dream. I can’t ask God for more”. Within no time Davido took us by storm when he released Dami Duro, which has been said to be one of Nigerians top hits ever made. Without a doubt, dami duro has become a leading club song as well as one of radios most played.
Without wasting much time, Davido and his management team, in collaboration with Clarence Peters, put together a first-class, never seen before type video, to back up the banger, Dami Duro. Not only did this video create major buzz around websites, TV stations and you tube, but was also said to be one of the best videos out of Nigeria. Without saying much, it is evident that Davido is one to watch out for in 2012! He is evidently here to stay, and deliver.
Davido had a very eventful Christmas (2011) season performing all over Nigeria. He had amazing performances at shows like the Koko concert, Rhythm Unplugged, Echo 2011, Access Bank End of year Party and the Sahara End of year concert
DavidoThe Artiste
Davido admits that his love for entertaining people comes from his late mother who passed away in 2003. Losing his mother has been the most traumatic experience Davido has had to suffer but it has also been his inspiration as he states “...she’s the reason I do what I do.... she loved to entertain and I plan on carrying that legacy...”
With collaborations with artistes like Naeto C, Shank, Lynxxx and popular UK artiste, Dotstar, Davido is set to prove to the music industry that he has what it takes to succeed. He has also shared stages with people like T-Pain, Fabulous, Keith Sweat, Cabo Snoop, D'Banj, Naeto C and more.

The Student
Often considered playful and fun loving, Davido has shown that he is a focused individual and not allowing his music career get in the way of his education. Davido is currently studying Business Administrations in Babcock University and he is applying things he learns in school into running the business of his music career. Ensuring that a proper system and business tools are in place for his music career, Davido has not only built a recording studio for the HKN Records, he has also assembled a management and PR team to help him run his affairs while he focuses on his education. Music doesn’t take a back seat though... Davido runs on a very tight schedule to ensure that neither his music nor education suffers!
On the 20th of November 2012, award-winning Omo Baba Olowu star Davido… celebrated his 20th birthday. The star had every reason to celebrate considering the amazing year of success he has enjoyed so far. Just a few days before his.

EMA DAMIDURO BY DAVIDO

Michael Joseph Jackson (born August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, died June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California), often referred to as The King of Pop, is the biggest-selling solo artist of all time, with over 750,000,000 sales. Jackson is an inductee of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and double inductee to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. His awards include 8 Guinness World Records, 13 Grammy Awards, and 26 Billboard Awards. He is also credited for popularizing many physically complicated dance moves, such as the robot and the moonwalk, and has influenced and spawned a whole generation of a wide variety of artists including Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey and Usher, among others.

Jackson’s musical career began in 1967 as lead singer of The Jackson 5, when the group made their first recording with a local label before signing up with Motown Records in 1968. He made his first solo recordings in 1971 while still a member of the group. But it was Off the Wall (1979) which marked the start of his full-fledged solo career, and he formally parted with his siblings in 1984. In his solo career, Jackson recorded and co-produced the best-selling album of all time, Thriller (with worldwide sales over 100 million), received thirteen Grammy awards and charted thirteen #1 singles in the U.S.

MICHAEL JACKSON MOONWALK

The moonwalk is a dance technique that presents the illusion of the dancer being pulled backwards while attempting to walk forward.[1] A popping move, it became popular around the world after Michael Jackson executed the dance move during a performance of "Billie Jean" on Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever on March 25, 1983.[2] It subsequently became his signature move, and is now one of the best-known dance techniques in the world.

 =========================================================================

 HOW TO DO THE MOONWALK
An illusion is involved in creating the appearance of the dancer gliding backwards. Initially, the front foot is held flat on the ground, while the back foot is in a tiptoe position. The flat front foot remains on the ground but is slid lightly and smoothly backward past the tip-toe back foot. What is now the front foot is lowered flat, while the back foot is raised into the tiptoe position. These steps are repeated over and over. Variations of this move allow the moon walking to also appear to glide forwards, sideways, and even in a circle.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun a.k.a Wizkid is a talented singer, songwriter and performer. He kicked off his singing career at the early age of 11 when he recorded his first song with one of Nigeria’s celebrated music icons, OJB Jezreel. He went on to record a 7-track album, which he released in his church in Lagos, under the name of Lil’ Prinz; this was just a stint that earned him a remarkable deal of encouragement and recognition from family, his church and other artistes.
Years later in 2006, with a new stage name, and a passion for making music and God-given talent, Wizkid got back into the studio to hone his craft. He continued to develop as a Singer and Songwriter by working under some of Nigeria’s biggest Musical names such as OJB Jezreel, Naeto C, Ikechukwu and many others. Over the next few years his talent as a Singer and Songwriter became evident and it resulted in Wiz being prominently featured alongside some of the biggest Artistes in Nigeria’s Music Industry to much critical and commercial acclaim.
2009 would prove to be Wizkid’s break-out year, as his collaboration with M.I on “Fast Money, Fast Cars” on the Talk About It album drew major attention to his distinct voice, singing style and penchant for great songwriting. He went on to feature on Kel’sTurn by Turn”, the  Barcelos radio jingle and many other high profile projects. He also got signed to Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment, and featured prominently on Banky’s “The W Experience” album.
At the age of 20, this extremely talented and charming young man had already achieved so much, thanks to his drive and focus for turning his life’s experiences into incredible music. In 2010, he released his first singles, “Holla at your Boy”, “Gidi Girl” and “Ori Mi” with label mate, Skales; then there was the hit song, “Tease Me” which was just a studio freestyle that got leaked online and turned into a big hit in different parts of Nigeria and among Nigerians worldwide.
He bagged the coveted award for the Promising Artiste of the Year at the 2010 edition of the Dynamix All Youth Awards, collaborated with several artistes and performed at some A-list events; some of which include the Soundcity Music Video Awards, Lord of the Ribs Lagos, Rhythm Unplugged, the Shutdown Concert with Rick Ross, the Koko Concert, Crack Ya Ribs Lagos, Face of Selera 2010 Abuja just to mention a few.

This picture contained the image of a dark-skinned, slightly obese man, sleeping in the buff and seemingly unaware of his surroundings. The semblance to Wande was uncanny, however there was little other evidence to confirm that the man in the picture was indeed the famed artiste as the individual’s face was slightly turned away from the camera.
In the minutes that followed the release, members of Mo Hits crew went on damage control, claiming that Wande’s detractors were behind the scandal and suggesting that they’d used Photoshop to superimpose Wande’s head on another naked man’s body.
When life gives you lemons, what do you make? As the shock the pictures generated slowly went away, Wande’s colleagues and sympathizers seized the opportunity to upload links to his music on Youtube and iTunes in a bid to milk his sudden (unfortunate) fame and promote the R&B crooner’s music to the world.
Wande’s reps hadn’t issued any statement to the media at press time but be sure to stay tuned to NET as the story develops.

The story of P-Square began in St. Murumba secondary school, a small Catholic school in JosNigeria. Identical twins Peter and Paul joined their school music and drama club where they began singing, dancing, and miming songs by MC HammerBobby Brown and Michael Jackson.
They later formed an a cappella quartet called "MMMPP" (M Clef a.k.a. Itemoh, Michael, Melvin, Peter and Paul). Drawing inspiration from their music idol Michael Jackson, they began break dancing, formed the group called "Smooth Criminals" in 1997.[citation needed] They dropped M Clef from the group "MMMPP" which later was changed to "MMPP". Their artistic talent and precise dance routine soon made them household names in the city of Jos, where they performed at school functions and other occasions.[citation needed]
Later in 1999, Peter and Paul returned to music school to develop their skills on keyboard, drums, bass and rhythm guitar. Their work includes the soundtracks for a number of films like TobiMama SundayMoment of Bitterness and Evas River.
Later in 1999, they applied to the University of Abuja to study Business Administration. The Smooth Criminals disbanded when its members left to various other universities. Subsequently Peter and Paul formed their own group, variously called "Double P", "P&P", and "Da Pees", until they eventually settled on "P Square". They are managed by Bayo Odusami aka Howie T, a seasoned concert promoter and the CEO of Adrot Nigeria Limited.
In 2001, "P-Square" won the "Grab Da Mic" competition, and hence Benson & Hedges sponsored their debut album, titled Last Nite, which was released under Timbuk2 music label. P-Square was also nominated as "Most Promising African Group" in the Kora Awards three months after the release of their debut album. They eventually won the 2003 Amen Award for "Best R&B Group".[verification needed]
In 2005, P Square released their second album, Get Squared under their own label, Square Records. This album was marketed nationwide by TJoe Enterprises, although they were still managed by Howie T of Adrot Nigeria Limited. The video for the second album held the #1 position on the MTV Base chart for four straight weeks.
They have an ever growing fan base across South Africa with a particular stronghold of die-hard fans in Cape Town.

P Square Alingo
Nigeria’s most famous twins, P-Square, hit us over the weekend with the new video for their pop gold track “Alingo.” This is the type of music video that shames all of us who chose a computer-oriented career when we coulda been professional dancers. Imagine the hella fun they had on that set – getting hyped in studded black leather among cages and smokey warehouse stages. We coulda had it all! Instead, use your computer screen to watch the clip for “Alingo” below and stream/download the track here.

The group has performed alongside the following international artists like GinuwineSean PaulAkon and Busola Keshiro. The members of P Square are now located in Lagos.[citation needed]
Late in 2007, they released their best selling album so far, Game Over. It has sold 8 million copies worldwide.[verification needed]
In 2009, P-Square released their fourth studio album, Danger. The album features collaborations with 2face IdibiaJ Martins and Frenzy. The first single called "Danger" is a hip hop song with cutting synths and a frog bass baseline similar to an Eminem song. The video affirms this with the presence of clowns and staggered movements in front of the camera reminiscent of comical videos by Eminem. They are also known for the close resemblance which the twins have to American R&B Superstar, Usher Raymond.
On 4 April 2010, P-Square was named the Artist of the Year[4] at the KORA All Africa Music Awards in OuagadougouBurkina-Faso while they were in London for a Concert at the Troxy, and they will receive a whopping sum of $1 Million Dollars as the Award Winners, in Ebebiyin City.
They have the highest video views online on their official YouTube. They have also done so many charitable works for Nigeria and Africa in general.
